Summer is in full force with lots of rain and heat here in Kansas! Oh, and the wind. Yup, that wind…a force to be reckoned with for sure.
July is my birthday month, and I will be celebrating all month in true form with family and friends! I am so grateful for another year. It’s a milestone too, 70!!!
I’ve learned a lot over these many years. I’m grateful to Jesus for transforming my life so many years ago. The butterfly is my symbol because its life cycle speaks to me. You see, a butterfly begins as a caterpillar; one of my sayings is ‘I am worm’—a way to describe my messes.
The next step in the lifecycle is the chrysalis. This is where the great transformation takes place. What happens inside the chrysalis reflects what God does to us when we freely choose Him and allow Him to make us new. Inside the chrysalis, the caterpillar is broken down and dissolved into liquid. The old life is gone. Then, a small part of God’s DNA remains to rebuild the caterpillar into a butterfly.
The butterfly is full of beauty, and it can now fly high into the air! It spreads its wings and shares its story…’I am no longer lowly on the ground; I am FREE!’ The butterfly brings smiles, delight, and sunshine to those gazing upon it. It is filled with life and light.
The metamorphosis is complete. Romans 12:2
