Holy Week

Holy Week by Debra Lee

A week away is Easter Day,
“He is risen!” they shall say.
Holy week started with a celebration,
Palm Sunday, a day of jubilation.
Maundy Thursday, a foot washing took place,
And the Last Super was eaten with the King of Grace.
We commemorate the death of He who hung on the cross,
Good Friday, you see, happened for all who are lost.
Easter Sunday, not for bunnies, eggs, and fancy dresses,
But a day to remember for how God blessed us.
He is risen, He is risen indeed!
And we will be with Him forever, if we choose to believe!

It is a choice my friends! Have a blessed Holy Week and Easter Weekend!

FIVE-STAR BOOK REVIEW by Debra Lee

BOOK: Bridge Stories by Susan Wilson-Shultz

I met Susan in the fall of 2013 after my first book had been published. I had been invited to Susan’s home by a mutual friend because she was holding a sale that included several artisans and their wares. I was on the hunt for some treasures for my website but found a lot more than I what I could have ever anticipated.
As I introduced myself to Susan I could tell that she was a very special young lady. Very beautiful and pure, and she had this joyous glow that could only come from above. I enjoyed looking at her art and the art of others who were there, but her story and her mission is what really captured my soul.
Susan would soon be the bride to her beloved Joe and her book “Bridge Stories” would also be hitting the scene about the same time as her wedding day. Her book encourages us to embrace the journey, the race, the fight, to not give up, to move on with great strength and to keep our focus on the goal, testifying until the day when we will become the Bride of Christ.
Her testimony throughout this 212 page book is divided into stories that inspires us to see God and his teachings and messages in our simplest of everyday activities. Susan records what has been spoken to her from God and from others who have greatly touched her life. She teaches by using visually descriptive words that connect the dots from the spiritual world to the physical. Her book helps us to realize that we all have stories to tell and that God wants to use our stories as a testimony to others in order to build the Kingdom of Heaven.
Susan has a very close walk with the Lord, there is no doubt about it. She tells of her times of obedience and bravely shares the times when she has failed to listen to God and act. She discloses how she is an introvert by nature and has wondered and doubted whether or not her ministry is really making a difference. Her testimony proves over and over that God has grown her in her times of doubt and that her story is being used to bless others.
This book is very inspirational, instructional, enlightening, and full of wisdom and symbolism. You will be blessed to read this book because it will encourage you to keep looking up and to gain insight from God for how he wants you to use your testimony, letting your story become a bridge that leads others to Christ.
We are to tell our stories! Psalms 107 encourages us to give thanks and testify about the goodness, the love, the provisions, the protections, and the saving grace of our Lord. So testify!
