Reader's Top Questions

Reader’s Top Questions for

“It Is What It Is…But It Wasn’t A Tragedy"

Q: Why didn’t you use names in your autobiography?

A: This has been the number one question asked. I didn’t use names in the book for many reasons. You will on occasion find a name for a person or place, but I intentionally did not use a lot of names in the book. Here are the main reasons:

·         First of all, this is not a “tell all” book. That was not my intent for the book and some of the folks that I have written about want to remain private.

·         Secondly, there are people who still exist out there who may still wish to do me or my family harm. Only they will recognize who they are in the book.

·         And lastly, to avoid any lawsuits for possible slander.

And this leads me to the next question.

Q: Was that me in your book?

A: Some people have read the book and recognized themselves and will ask if that was them that I had written about. I really do not like divulging my resources, so you know who you are! J

Q: Did you ever feel safe growing up in the venue that you did?

A: For the most part, my parents did a great job in protecting us kids as best as they could. So I would say that most days I did feel safe, but most days I did not feel accepted by my peers or by the adults in my life. I don’t ever remember being truly afraid of the prisoners in our care, but there were a few times when I was scared stiff by different incidences that had occurred.

So You've Got Some Questions??

Questions, Questions, Questions!!!

I have had a lot of interesting conversations with folks since the release of my autobiography last fall. I have been asked all kinds of questions from what took place behind the scenes, to how to start writing a book, to all kinds of personal questions about my life and why I choose to put it all out there.

There are some things that everyone asks about, and then there are a few questions that are very unique, and then there are those special kind of questions that stump me and I have to stop and think about them for a bit before I give an answer!

Most are sincere questions, others are nosy questions, and some questions are the give-me-the-skinny-gossip-type questions.

We all know that by asking questions we learn. Since my autobiography is all about learning and the lessons that others can gain from reading about my past life, I really appreciate all of the questions that have come my way.

I have kept a list of all of the questions that I have been asked and I will be answering them on this blog and on a regular basis, so check back.

I will answer questions about how I got started writing the book, the process I went through, and all of the joys and frustrations it took to birth the project. You will find those type of questions and answers on my blog page “It Is What It Is…But It Wasn’t A Tragedy”.

I will also answer other questions to give you a little bit more insight into my life proving even more the amazing miracle that took place in my life and in my heart. You will find these questions and answers on my blog's home page.

In the meantime, if you have read the book, send in your questions! I am very open for discussions. No question is a bad question, and besides, you might find that your question just happens to end up on my blog, anonymously of course!!
